DER BERLINER SALON – Edition X

The last one...the biggie of all...save the best for last...hahaha...our this weekend press ad is not strong enough, so on Tuesday evening TPG meeting, we decide to have another round of review meeting on Wednesday 8am; gathering the Commercial Directors together with their HOCs...The Mayor told the Ops guy to invite me, didn't even mention Miss Chew's name...hahaha...I am very sure Miss Chew beh song me already...then, I am being seen as in-charge and coordinating & aligning everyone lor...

Then, in the late evening - this Alice...yes, my ex-boss; The Witch...at the very last minute got a very good price for Tiger Beer, Sir Terry drop an email asking for support...I cannot make the decision mah...so, I throw it back to MasterFile & Miss Chew lor...ya mah, one is in charge of changing the price in the system, one is dealing with the Agency & Media. So, The MasterFile Director was understanding and can support, this Miss Chew duduk diam only...then God sent help...the other Samuel, help to deal with the Agency & Media; pull back the ad, amend the price & re-send back to the Media. Lucky, this other Samuel is very understanding, know that we cannot say no, otherwise will be seen as not supportive, we are left with no choice...and also add that this Miss Chew will also not know what to do in such a situation...hahaha...

So, everything got it done in the nick of time...this Miss Chew still keep quiet...then Sir Terry email out to thank everyone, I pula use his email and thank everyone back; from the Commercial Team, to the MasterFile Team and the A&P Team, mention the other Samuel's name...must give credit when it's due mah...I can feel that this Miss Chew sure tak puas hati with all of this...I am being seen to lead lor...as per God's words - no enemies weapon's form against me will prosper. I know even Samuel & Mr. Horton's Secretary will be red eye punya...now the both of them beriya-iya want Uncle Andy to be the TP Head...which I also agree lah, Uncle Andy is that good...

Nonetheless, if I have to embarrass myself, fell down a number of times, it is not for me to win it but to fulfill God's purpose...THANK YOU GOD, PRAISE TO THE LORD, BLESS YOU GOD!

Second up - the G13 Re-Launch; all of the mode of display settle already lah...already indicate which item put where...then, mana tahu - our system kena hack...so have to wait for everything to recover, baru boleh consolidate lor...so, make the Hong Kong lady very impressed like that, so the spotlight ada sikit-sikit on me...hahaha...THANK YOU GOD, PRAISE TO THE LORD, BLESS YOU GOD!

Nonetheless, celebrating some small wins this week...which I sendiri yang perasan ya...so, hopefully my future self will layan this...hahaha...ya mah...I am in a job that is both thankless and un-acknowledged. 

First up - the Value Messaging Project...it was Carlito punya project...then got meeting with The Mayor & then meeting with Christopher, and then ter-tiba; jatuh onto my lap...hahaha...well, if God calls me to it, God will qualify me for it...so Carlito send an email to the whole world that I will lead this project for Malaysia, anything look for me directly...THANK YOU GOD, PRAISE TO THE LORD, BLESS YOU GOD!

Now, I baru faham...

Genesis 2 tells us that God placed the first human in the garden to work it and take care of it. My father-in-law is a farmer and he often tells me he farms for the sheer love of land and livestock. That's beautiful but it leaves lingering questions for those who don't love their work. Why did God put us in a particular place with a particular assignment?

Genesis 1 gives us the answer. We're made in God's image to carefully steward the world He made. 

Genesis declares that the one true God made humans to be His representative - to steward what He'd make on His behalf. May we reflect His wise and loving order into the world. 

Work is a call to cultivate God's world for His glory.

Dear God, Thank You for the honor of joining You in Your work in the world. Help me to reflect Your love, wisdom and order in my life and in the place where I work.

Dear God, help me to remember that You're with me in every moment. I welcome Your Influence, Your Instructions today. Thank You for Your NEARNESS!

Dear God, help me to believe that I'm doing a great work. I trust that You've called me to this in this season. Give me the focus to stay the course.
