Hahaha...this drama is I created one...

What happen was...one of the H&B buyer went to approach Miss Chew directly...the Leaflet pages have been reduce because the Leaflet cycle from a Bi-weekly publication have been changed to a Weekly output but still maintain with a 2-weeks promotion duration. Because of a faster turnaround...of course the Leaflet pages have to be reduce lor...so, the H&B buyer tak puas hati lor...

Then, Miss Chew come to look for me lor...not that I do not want to give...but there is no room to give...furthermore, our department activities also needs to be highlighted mah...Miss Chew also got come up with a proposal...to alternate it...ok lor, I can accept but the H&B buyer still tak puas hati...and also very stubborn...

I stood up...gently turn the H&B buyer around to the H&B workstation...the H&B buyer's body betul-betul stiff, don't want to bug off...I told the H&B buyer to think about it...and I also say that we are not letting you go back empty handed...think about Miss Chew's proposal and revert back to us...then, I tambah...Miss Chew is usually not this nice, today Miss Chew have been very nice...hahaha...

So, what happen was...before Miss Chew left...Mr. Horton's Secretary was leading the Senior Citizen 3% Campaign...both Aidan & Miss Chew did not inform The Penjaga Team lor (our another sister business)...Mr. Horton's Secretary already pre-empted the both of them...but as usual lah...tak buat lor...or tak mahu buat lah...then when the emails start flying around...Miss Chew start pointing and accusing lor...but to Mr. Horton's Secretary's point is also correct...Miss Chew is the head of the department mah...hahaha...drama betul...

What happen was...one of the A&P budak - Ismail; got shared with me lah...Ismail also know how to comment on Miss Chew...Miss Chew looking into small small things...things that are important but not vital...for example...the artwork of the leaflet, the product positioning, the price blurb etc...but not looking at the bigger picture of things...

For trade - product & price are already stagnant...sometimes we win in price, the other times; the competitors will win lor...what we lack are the amplifier to ramp things up...we don't have loyalty card, e-commerce is non-existent...we don't invest in vouchers etc...when Marcus or Hanis was still around, at least there are partnership activities with banks, e-wallets...now under Miss Chew...nothing at all...

Third...before Aidan balik to HK, Aidan gave each team member a Christmas present...with a note from it...the note paper...is from those Disney note pads...then, that day, I also passed by Aidan's table...saw those note pads...fine...then - I saw on Heidi's table...got one Christmas present from the Digital Millennial...fine...but on the Christmas present itself...also have a note tie to it...fine...but the note paper hor...is from the Disney pile...coincidence?

The Mayor actually very sayang Miss Chew...apparently it is The Mayor who advise Miss Chew to take a sabbatical leave and not the HR.

Miss Chew kena DI (Domestic Inquiry) because of an ex-staff lodge a report against Miss Chew.

And in down south...Miss Y-C also kena complaint...from the Commercial Team...I find Miss Y-C is very arrogrant...so not surprise that will make Miss Y-C's style as very harsh, rude, no respect, unreasonable, finding fault with people lor...

Apparently now, in the SG TPO meeting - Miss Y-C is still inside the meeting but no longer chair it and quiet all the time. Nimal already take the lead.

Miss Y-C said will transfer in February...jadi ke tak jadi...tak tahu lah...

I also suspect that Miss Y-C and the SG Brand Lady also may not see eye to eye on many things...

And Nimal, is suppose to take over Miss Y-C role wor...confusing...

In the YTG meeting last week...the Partnership Lady already make an appearance...

Gossip! Again!...hahaha...from Stephane...I find that the Mayor's team in both countries are very complicated...sometimes, I also very pity the Mayor...got Miss Chew, Miss Y-C, the SG Brand Lady hovering around the Mayor like lalat...not easy combination...all sure very ma fan...

So what happen was...the Mayor was thinking to consolidate everything under the SG Brand Lady...since Miss Y-C will be transferring to the Commercial Team soon...then, all of a sudden, appear this Partnership Lady...this Partnership Lady will be taking over Miss Y-C's role...and the new chap; Nimal which was earlier mention as Miss Y-C's replacement but actually is under Miss Y-C, reporting to Miss Y-C...ish...so confusing...then hor, this Partnership Lady told the Mayor that this Partnership Lady do not want to report to the SG Brand Lady...hahaha...

Aidan did comment previously that both Miss Y-C and the SG Brand Lady's character are very punchy...hahaha...

And this POSM colleague - also satu lagi...the POSM colleague rather being scolded by Miss Chew everyday than rather stand up to make decision, take the accountability and shoulder the responsibility. No matter how teruk Miss Chew will scold the POSM colleague, the POSM colleague rather have Miss Chew than Aidan...haiz...must approach this POSM colleague differently...only want to be spoon-fed and do the work only...

My opinion - Miss Chew should have just leave and don't come back please. There is so much of peace without Miss Chew being around in the office...the Agency WatsApp chat group also no more bising like pasar...hahaha...

First of all, regarding the above case...Miss Chew ask me to booked a 2-pager press ad...so I also book a 2-pager press ad lor...fronting ads format is much cheaper than the 1 bleed format. Plus Miss Chew also did not mention what ad format to booked. Anyway, I am ok if the header are the same...running out of time for output jor lah...as though customer will notice anything...dah lah the LPTL lines is also not pushing the needle...

Aidan is stepping in...helping us out...Aidan is very good in bringing everyone together...organize meetings to clarify and understand...Miss Chew never does that...

When Love Never Ends

God always makes time for us.

You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all His ways and faithful in all He does.

God's goodness and thoughtful attention sustain our lives each moment, providing us with air to breathe and food to eat. Because He is rich in love, the Creator of all things mercifully crafts even the most intricate details of our existence.

God's love is so deep and unending that in His kindness and mercy - He's even opened the way to eternal life and joy in His presence - as if to say: I love you so much, I just want to be with you forever, and let time go by.

Better Than Gold

Dear God, I surrender my word to You. Use them for Your glory.

A Worthwhile Wait

The Lord longs to be gracious to you...blessed are all who wait for Him.

Stuck in a stressful job with long hours and an unreasonable boss - let's hang on and see what God will give us.

I waited for God's plan to unfold in His time.

Waiting for God's help in the midst of trouble is hard; it can be tempting to try to find our own solution first.

Waiting for God takes faith and patience. But when we see His answer at the end of it all, we'll realize it was worth it. And what's even more amazing? God is waiting for us to come to Him!

Father, give me the patience to wait for Your answer. I know You're a good and loving God whose timing and will are always perfect.

Rescued From Powerful Enemies

There are foolish and wise paths in life, and it is vitally important to choose our path well, acknowledging our Creator in the way we live.

Ecclesiastes 11:1-6

The world is an unpredictable place - wars break out, there is injustice and corruption.

You cannot predict, still less control, the weather, but there comes a time when you must make your decision and act. If you wait until you are sure of the outcome, you will wait forever and lose everything. The right response to uncertainty is not to do nothing, but to factor the uncertainty into your planning. You cannot assume that everything you do will succeed - some things will not succeed - but if you spread your risks, that may bring gain in the long term.

Everything is subject to uncertainty. There is no time, and no climate, so favorable that you can be certain of success if you sow your seed then. There are limits on how much gain you can reasonably expect to make.

The Teacher goes behind the individual uncertainties of life to the most fundamental uncertainty of all - we don't know what God is doing.

God is the Maker of all things - everything that happens ultimately comes from God. Precisely for that reason we must acknowledge that we cannot understand the work of God. We can see (or think we can see) the reasons for some things that happen, but none of us can explain everything that happens in God's world.

All our ventures, then, are subject to the caveat - God Willing.

We must make decisions, plan as best we can and go for it. But we must also expect the unexpected and reckon with life's uncertainties.

As The Teacher has often reminded us, our knowledge of God's ways is limited, and to accept this limitation - unwelcome though it may be - is the way of wisdom.

After all, if it is a choice between seeing God's purposes fulfilled or our own plans succeed, surely we would prefer the former.

Ecclesiastes 10:12 - 20

The sensible response to an uncertain world is to be modest and cautious in one's plans.

You cannot charm a snake by slapping it, so don't bad-mouth the king. Don't even think of it.

Recognize your limits; work out what you can realistically hope to achieve and stick to that. This is the course of wisdom. Giving way to frustration (in this case, voicing criticisms of the king) may undermine all you have worked for. Saying what you really think may be satisfying at the time, but later it will hurt you and perhaps others as well. Foolish words are never a good idea.

Ecclesiastes 10:1-11

Rulers who cannot tolerate disagreement and leaders who make bad appointments, such that wrong people have power and wealth.

Under such a regime the courtier's role is a thankless one. His attempts to guide the ruler wisely may backfire and cost him dearly. His task is like digging pits, dismantling snake-infested walls, quarrying stones and splitting logs - hard and potentially dangerous work, but also necessary.

Like someone using a blunt axe, he cannot achieve nearly as much as he would like, but with persistence and wisdom he can accomplish something. He has to become skilled in charming the 'snake', exerting subtle influence on the king, learning how to placate his wrath when necessary.

I WatsApp Mr. Horton's Secretary - will Mr. Horton's Secretary be coming in to the office...

Mr. Horton's Secretary commented that Mr. Horton's Secretary was very tired, would like to request to work from home...unless there is anything urgent...fine...

The reason that I texted Mr. Horton's Secretary was to check-in whether Mr. Horton's Secretary have already signed in on Miss Chew's greeting card or not...which Samuel have already done on behalf of Mr. Horton's Secretary...fine lor...

Then, Mr. Horton's Secretary ask about me - I updated Mr. Horton's Secretary that I will be going down to KD store...Mr. Horton's Secretary then ask for what...I replied back for CNY 2023...then Mr. Horton's Secretary kata nak ikut sekali...I terus tolak and say it's ok since you are very tired...hahaha...ya mah...masuk office tak mahu...pergi store, knowing that The Eagle will be there, pula nak...ish...ish...

Then, when Samuel found out about the floor walk...and ask whether Mr. Horton's Secretary got join or not...I terus jawab on behalf...hahaha...

Samuel actually got commented that I need to align everyone in my new role - the Feature Promo Space need to give up...it's a good idea...then the question is - give up to who? You all both want to do or not? Pandai cakap jer...

So, now the Marketing Department will have 2 Pillars: Trade Marketing & Brand Marketing.

Both Samuel & Mr. Horton's Secretary decision one...and now pula say that the Brand Marketing Team - they can refuse to start any work if the department budget is insufficient - and must always make them busy...susah lah mereka berdua...

Then for the A&P - haiz...the A&P colleague also upset with me...both Aidan & myself are motivated to move things forward but the A&P colleague don't see it that way...the A&P colleague claim that we syiok sendiri only...cannot blame everyone because there is no email, no black & white, no official announcement...only Aidan is moving fast...I will assist as much as possible because I get to learned...otherwise, I don't learn anything...

Maybe Uncle Andy & Stephane is right...the structure is indeed too hard to come out...all of them are too highly paid due to their length of service, given the increment based on favoritism previously...and their current job scope does not match that...it is way cheaper in hiring new grads...

Even for the Brand Marketing Lead - one of them; their salary...just add a couple of hundreds - also already can pay for that lead position jor...haiz...

This is a very awkward conversation & situation...but there will be many more like this in the future...with Samuel & Mr. Horton's Secretary...because the both of them will never and cannot acknowledge me...veterans yang banyak cakap, lots of complaints, want to do easy work also...haiz...

Even the other day - Samuel got share - that Samuel keep on brainwashing Aidan to build me up to replace Miss Chew...don't know what is the intention...and anyway, I just want to retire in G13...hahaha...

Ok, so the CNY 2023 is coming soon...as usual...there is the Joint Consensus Forecast Review between Commercial, Supply Chain, Ops & Marketing...so, on Wednesday evening - I need to attend a floor walk in Kinrara store...so I pun minta tolong to Samuel & Mr. Horton's Secretary to be in the meeting, just in case lah...

Terus, I think Samuel also tahan lama already...condemn the purpose of the meeting in a very light manner...and of course, I can read in between the lines...somemore doing it in front of Mr. Horton's Secretary and the A&P colleague...

Now, even though it is not that functioning - or how it should be...but as all of the cross-functional team are all fire up & charge up - we definitely have to be perceived of doing something...and in one of those meetings...The Eagle was there...so, hopefully got brownie points up for grabs...hahaha...

I don't know whether Samuel got took this up to Aidan or not...because when I had a 1:1 session with Aidan and updating Aidan on this particular topic - Aidan just gave me a smirk look...

Miss Chew requested from me the list of LPTL for the radio media...so, I gave...

Then, Miss Chew drop an email - saying that it must be radio-friendly sentences...which was not in Miss Chew's earlier brief ya...I didn't open the email...I pretend that I didn't see...

Then, Miss Chew came over to question me...I raise my voice...why never brief properly in the first place...somemore Miss Chew wants the items; since when punya date - which was also not in Miss Chew's earlier brief...celaka betul...

Miss Chew still want to play defensive - this is not the first time we are doing radio - yes, this is not the first time for LPTL doing the radio channel but it is my first time doing it...Miss Chew wants to argue somemore...Mr. Horton's Secretary does it before...ah...that is Mr. Horton's Secretary...not me...hahaha...

In the midst of it all...as Miss Chew was at my workstation, standing next to me...I pat pat mildly on her arm...like a small kid...

Miss Chew very celaka betul...cannot give proper briefing...like Mr. Horton's Secretary always commented...it's always bits & pieces here and there...

Of course, Aidan jump straight in - making sure that I won't use brutal force on Miss Chew...hahaha...

I won't do that - just want to teach Miss Chew a lesson only...

This Miss Chew likes to babysit everything - everything want to take in BUT it is not Miss Chew who do all of the work but we all who do...ish...celaka betul...

Anyway, this Miss Chew also already berambus...itu pun senyap-senyap...dalam diam diam...very secretive like that...

Aidan only informed that Miss Chew's last day was on the 9th November...Heidi also mention the same...but rupa-rupanya...Miss Chew's last day was on the 8th November...9th November is the start of Miss Chew's Annual Leave because Miss Chew have 17 days...so Miss Chew will start Miss Chew's Sabbatical Leave in December...

Anyway, only the Digital Colleague, Arais & Heidi have a parting lunch with Miss Chew...Aidan got a medium-sized greeting card which everyone sign on it (except for Ah Beng who hates Miss Chew very much)...then, before I left the office on Tuesday evening, I just went over to Miss Chew and say my goodbye and thank you for everything...which ends with an embrace...tak ingin pun I...I just follow the rhythm...hahaha...

The Digital Colleague put their picture in the WatsApp Group...the rest of the colleague only bagi emoji...no one say a word...pun kesian kan...hahaha...
