The Limits Of Sight

Stephanie just told me that her ex-boss from G13 called her up…ask her to go back to G13...will be interview by Rodrigo…yup that Rodrigo that always helps me is back in G13, park under the Fresh Division…I told Stephanie to go for it if the package is right…

The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know.

Always Pray & Don’t Give Up

Are you going through one of those times when it seems every attempt to resolve a problem is met with a new difficulty? You thank the Lord at night that it’s taken care of but awake to find that something else has gone wrong and the problem remains?

Prayer is not a means of coercing God to do what we want, it is a process of recognizing His power and plan for our lives. In prayer we yield our lives and circumstances to the Lord and trust Him to act in His time and in His way.

As we rely on God’s grace not only for the outcome of our request but for the processes as well, we can keep coming to the Lord in prayer, trusting His wisdom and care for us.

Our Lord’s encouragement to us is clear: Always pray and don’t give up!

Lord, in the difficulty I face today, guard my heart, guide my words, and show Your grace. May I always turn to You in prayer. Prayer changes everything.

A Monstrous Regiment Of Women

Back in March…when I first arrive…for the May Euro Cup Lealfet…MT also email me…asking me whether I want to advertise any sports water tumbler or not…again…no cc to Celtic…I think their story goes in far more deeper…I must kepo and investigate…hahaha…

Cabbages and Kings

Today, also another case…some decote issue…MT asked Wayne & myself a question via email, cc to Stewart…but no cc to Celtic wor…funny isn’t it…

A Strangeness In My Mind

Today, Stewart is on leave, so MT was the proxy. We have additional Press Ad slots…MT email to all of the Division Managers…if they have any items that they would like to feature in this weekend Press Ad…my name is in the list too…Harriet’s name was not…so, why did MT insert my name in it…either MT knows that Celtic will overlook the email…or Celtic will tak layan her email…or knowing that I am the responsible type…I will do the follow-up with Celtic…or maybe this MT don’t even bother to look at Celtic…hmmm…I wonder how MT sees me in all of this...I am very curious and I would like to find out :)

ANTM Model

I am stalking Mak Tiri…not physically but on online.
I think MT is the type of person who is very active on FaceBook…but surprisingly…I cannot find anything on MT online. MT changes her WatsApp picture & status profile quite frequently…but indeed…nothing…absolutely nothing on her on the internet.

I actually kind of like her WatsApp status profile…something along the line like…lazy people…be determined but not stubborn and her latest one is…quality means doing it right when no one is looking…see, MT is pretty fun too…

A Serving Leader

Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.
A good leader is a good servant.

Ok…I get the message loud & clear. I will try not to complain and compare anymore after this ya…

The Mention Of His Name

Jesus, thank You that You are near.
I need You.

signaling the last of the courses

(1) Reliable to work independent without supervision.
(2) Able to meet deadline & work under pressure.
(3) Good working attitude.
(4) Need to have more in-depth product knowledge.
(5) Need to push beyond expectation.
(6) Need to adjust & adapt to current working culture.

Product knowledge…I admit that I am very lacking in this area at the moment…but I can pick them up along the way. Priority is to know how to drive the sales of the product first.

Push beyond expectation…hmmm…I am not a robot for sure…

Adjust & adapt…if it is not right…why must I adjust & adapt…we need to change…we cannot accept it as it is. It will not improve our process, things will not be made simpler, we will be in our very own comfort zone…I know that I have been grumbling a lot, complaining a lot, looking down at the Japanese culture…I know that I don’t fit in but I have no intention to remain silent as well…I have to say that the English culture suits me very well and I feel very enrich. I feel that I am growing. I am learning. That is what senior managers should be doing.

Best Beginnings

Yesterday, met up with a supplier…husband & wife team…Barry & Co…so Captain Johnson, Stewart, Mrs. Simon & myself sat in…wah, the suppliers really hentam Mrs. Simon to the max. I didn’t feel pity for Mrs. Simon…instead I kind of felt that Mrs. Simon deserve it…Stewart was also obviously siding Mrs. Simon as well…I guess the reason that I didn’t feel pity for Mrs. Simon is because I inherited a department that is so shitty because of Mrs. Simon poor decision making choices. Come to think of it…correct me if I am wrong…Stewart should also take the blame as well…I know that Stewart trust the buyers but certain accountability and responsibilities have to take back the control as well. So in the end Mrs. Simon got cry. I still think that Mrs. Simon deserves it. Evil me.

Later on, Stewart did tell me that Stewart is aware of this Mrs. Simon weaknesses…got inform Mrs. Simon before…I only reply Stewart back…reinforcement. That is why the one-to-one session is so important. It is not about sales, numbers and figures. It’s about character development. What area that needs to be build on, what weaknesses that needs to be corrected. I really miss Ursula & Tommy. Being a buyer, it requires another set of skills, being a manager or a leader also requires another set of skills. I really came back this time…with a whole lot of different perspective on everything and everyone :)

Mischief & Manage

I told you so…see I am correct…Stewart said that I need to speed up on my work…so, I told Stewart that filing up forms really eats into my time…guess how Stewart reply me – that one I cannot help you…excuse me…Stewart, you have memory lapse is it. Just a month ago, you were the one who told Celtic to inform Wayne to assist me in the paperwork because I am overload. And now you are telling me that you cannot help me. I finally understand why Stewart (via WatsApp messages last year) say that the buyers are so busy. It’s the process. Your buyers are wasting a lot of their time in doing paperwork. They should be driving their Trade Plans, Range Plans, Supplier Plans & Exit Plans. I bet this Stewart also don’t know the respective buyers Trade Plans for the coming months.

I admit that I am also not that good…I am also very crap too…but the buyers here are really not that productive. Harriet & I share the same sentiment. We must improve…not embrace! Or maybe I am the problem :)

Triumph In Tragedy

I need this job more than ever now…

Face each day with trust in Jesus Christ.
God’s greatest victories often come disguised as defeats.

The purposes of God are right,
Although we may not see,
Just how He works all things for good,
And transforms tragedy.

When Questions Remain

I was having a phone chat with Ling Ling the other night…Ling Ling said being with The Japanese, no hope already…don’t stay there for too long…my future is rottening there…aiyo

Throughout life, we may experience sorrows for which there are no adequate explanation. Some are catastrophic events with far-reaching effects while others are personal, private tragedies that alter our individual lives and families. We want to know why, but we seem to find more questions than answers. Yet even as we struggle with WHY, God extends His unfailing love to us.

When Job lost his children and his wealth in a single day, he sank into an angry depression and resisted any attempted explanations by his friends. Yet he held out hope that someday there would be answer from God. Even in the darkness Job could say – God knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.

Oswald Chambers said – there will come one day a personal and direct touch from God when every tear and perplexity, every oppression and distress, every suffering and pain, and wrong and injustice will have a complete and ample and overwhelming explanation.

Today, as we face life’s unanswered questions, we can find help and hope in God’s love and promises.

What Is It?

God…God…sigh…

I am not looking down at the job of filing up the REP forms. Ok lah…maybe I am…a little. I can close one eye, take in my high salary every month and fill in forms the whole day…but I know that this is not good…this is bad for my career progression and personal development. Shall I bring this up to Stewart? Can Stewart help me here?

Sometimes God provides for us in surprising ways. This reminds us that He is not bound by our expectations, and we can’t predict what He will choose to do. While we wait, focusing on who He is rather that what we think He should do will help us to find joy and satisfaction in our relationship with Him.

Dear God, please help me to freely accept Your provision and the way You choose to deliver it. Thank You for caring for me and meeting my needs.

Oxford University's Weston Library

Captain Johnson was in the Putrajaya store; for stocktake.
Thereafter, Captain Johnson posted some pictures and comments in the WatsApp group which the Bazaar Team are in.

(1) Captain Johnson posted some comments on Mrs. Simon's Furniture & Soft Furnishing department…can see that Stewart very sayang Mrs. Simon. Stewart back Mrs. Simon up and defended her to the maximum.

(2) Then Captain Johnson posted more pictures and comments on my department. Stewart didn’t back me up ya…instead watsapp me this…wei, u don’t wan to answer my boss ah?? Tell him u doing the clean up…hey, you can back Mrs. Simon up by speaking on behalf of her…why can’t you do that for me now…I was a bit kecil hati lah…of course in the end, Stewart did help by replying this back to Captain Johnson…for household…J___ have given the cat review for me to review…once done will see a lot of assortment reduce…

(3) Of course…before that…I watsapp this to Stewart – I already did the category review slides for u with details on how many sku cutting down. Plz show him. The rest of the category is on going. I am 75 days here with no minions in doing paperwork. Plz giv me peace & quiet to build on the common assortment and to drive Raya sales. Stewart only hahaha back.

(4) So, am I rude and insulting to Stewart? Yes I was…I will try not to bring it up back again :)

The Little Mozart & Le Professeur

Don’t know what happen to Stewart last week…maybe it’s the performance pressure…maybe kena hentam from Captain Johnson…could be either one…could be both…Stewart raised the voice to the team…Celtic also kena sounded…the most...

The Gruffalo

Captain Johnson email to Stewart, Celtic & myself.
“Again, all the new list in must reach me and all the new product buying in bulk quantity must inform me as well. I don’t mean to take away your power to do so but this is very important to avoid we don’t buy wrongly. I hope you can understand".

(1) THANK YOU GOD, PRAISE TO THE LORD, BLESS YOU GOD – both Stewart & Celtic always proceed with my new item listing with no questions ask. They cover my back.

(2) I think Captain Johnson would love to have a one-to-one session with Stewart and Celtic. To get the most updated information on the Trade Plan, Range Plan, Supplier Plan & Exit Plan. But I don’t think the both of them are keen. Either, they are malas or want to avoid. Hahaha…

Supernatural Forgiveness

"You helping me to do that kah…ok lah, we swap lah…I rather do the analysis & presentation thingy rather than sitting down there filling up those REP forms"

Shall I say that the next time when Celtic start to sound me or trying to boast around.

O God, help us to be like Your son in forgiving others when we are mistreated.
To return evil for evil is natural; to return good for evil is supernatural.

I guess not then…hahaha…

Fearless Spaceman Spiff

Tommy: How’s life? Getting used to it yet?
Me: 62 days today. Adapt & adjust.
Tommy: Counting days. Like how I was in G13.

I am really counting the days. To what...OMG :(

You First

I am so angry with Celtic today…Stewart need us to do the Sales Analysis…this Celtic can say somemore that Celtic is helping me to do it…and that everyone say that Celtic pampers me. Hello…excuse me…you are the Division Manager…aren’t you suppose to do it. Somemore, this Celtic says that this analysis is such a boring job, so Celtic does it for me. I told Celtic back…by right I am supposed to do that sales analysis part and not doing paperwork. Not filing up forms! Celaka betul. Then, this Celtic said that I can curi – curi give the paper work to Fify & Wayne to do…I sounded Celtic back…did you inform them or not…otherwise it is not appropriate as the instructions were not given from the top…and both Fify & Wayne will not be happy about it. See…whatever Stewart mention the other day…about me being overloaded lah…get Wayne to help with the paper work…tak jadi one. Celtic is also lazy to do all of the paper work lah. Celtic can do the Cloth Upkeep family in 1 week’s time…why didn’t Celtic step in and help me to do the rest of the category fixers as well. The more we get it done, the more area we cover, the quicker we are, the better it is. The data already shows that the promotion participation weight already outdone the normal participation weight…thus the common assortment is urgently need to be address as well…this Celtic…go and do ad hoc promotion. Yes, we must get in the sales but the common assortment fix-up cannot also be ignore as well. If it’s not because of Alice…I won’t join The Japanese as well. Somemore like to show off Celtic’s car…the house…the other half…I think Celtic is the one who is so insecure and need to tell the whole world in order to have that superiority feeling. I really pity Celtic.

Anyway…I know that Stewart will stand at Celtic’s side. During the confirmation one-to-one…if have lah…I won’t bring this up unless Stewart bring it up…I know…I just have to manage my own frustration and pace myself better.

Anyway…I am the problem lah…I just cannot adapt & adjust lah

When quarrels and disagreements occur, we can often diffuse them by giving up our right to be right. Humility calls us to show grace and gentleness when we would rather insists on our way.

Always I am the one who have to compromise and tolerate and give way. Arrgghhh...

I Didn’t Want To Be In The Jennifer Lopez Show

The other day…Stewart sounded Celtic…asking what is Celtic doing…Celtic said that Celtic is doing something…then Stewart said that whatever Celtic is doing is also not pushing up the sales…hahaha…

Real People Hall Of Fame

Celtic’s Claim >> Celtic’s other half work in a porcelain company…having a warehouse sales…so coincidence one of our suppliers bought some goods from the warehouse sales…then, the suppliers sold it back to us. Then, someone or one of the colleagues go and claim that Celtic’s other half got under table…or something like that…claim that the goods were sold to a hypermarket. Then don’t know what happen, in between lah…but the case settle already lah

My Assumption >> Celtic inform the supplier regarding the cheap bargain, sell the stocks to us, we get the sales, the supplier get the profits. Whether Celtic got under table or not…or in another form…I don’t know. I think Celtic’s relationship with Celtic’s the other half…is more like a business relationship but use a personal relationship to cover up all of the transactions…hmm…don’t know lah.

Woman Walks Ahead

Stewart asked me – since when I become so lenient in collecting Buying Income…hahaha…I didn’t answer Stewart back…well, it’s not that I am lenient…I do not have the bargaining chip to demand for it. I am not saying that the previous buyers did such a lousy job which screwed up everything…I am also not that good…it’s just that the negotiation have become more challenging. Dah lah…Trade Plan also don’t have…how to bargain...now I have to plan the Trade Plan, Range Plan, Supplier Plan, Exit Plan...

19 soft skills every leader needs to be successful

1. Listening
The best communicators are not only skilled at articulating their own thoughts, they're also great listeners. We tend to associate being the loudest voice in the room with power and control, but successful leaders understand the importance of listening to others' thoughts and ideas.
Tip: Give the speaker your undivided attention, take notes, reserve judgment, and be open to opinions.

2. Communicating
The ability to communicate well is essential to forming and maintaining relationships. Leaders who have mastered the exchange of ideas can more effectively manage employees and create a productive work environment.
Tip: Communicate with courtesy, show confidence, back up statements with facts, and try to avoid tentative language like, "might," "maybe," "possibly," and "ASAP."

3. Nonverbal communication
A person's body language can often be more important than what he or she is actually saying.
Tip: Maintain eye contact while speaking to show respect and sincerity, hold good posture to project confidence, avoid gestures that are distracting or convey disinterest such as crossed arms or fidgeting with clothing/jewelry, and make sure facial expressions align with the message being communicated.

4. Delivering bad news
No one wants to be the bearer of bad news, but any leader knows that it's all part of the job. The ability to deliver unfortunate news tactfully is what sets good leaders apart.
Tip: Deliver bad news in person rather than via email or memo, take responsibility, be as honest as possible, and give employees an opportunity to respond and discuss how the news affects them.

5. Saying no
In any leadership position, saying no to employees and ideas is a huge part of the job. The ability to turn people down sensitively is critical.
Tip: Empathize with people when saying no to let them know you understand the situation, explain your reasoning for saying no, and end the conversation on a positive note by offering another way to help.

6. Negotiating
Most leaders are negotiating throughout the day — with clients, with employees, and with friends and family. The most successful negotiators remain fair and considerate of others' desires while pushing for what they want.
Tip: Look at the situation through the other person's eyes, be prepared to offer several options, show that you've heard and understood the other side, and offer to help out in some way to demonstrate that you're a team player.

7. Connecting with employees and colleagues
Cordial relationships between managers and their employees are absolutely essential to creating a cohesive and productive work environment.
Tip: Always use people's names when speaking to them, show interest in employees' lives, express appreciation and recognize contributions, and make your colleagues feel important.

8. Giving criticism
For leaders overseeing employees who may not be performing at the optimum level, giving criticism is extremely important in maintaining high standards and producing work that meets those standards.
Tip: Give criticism in private, don't point fingers, don't sugarcoat the problem, be specific about what you want to change, and ask for the person's input so they feel they're part of the solution.

9. Dealing with difficult employees
Every office has difficult employees whose behavior and attitudes can jeopardize workplace harmony. Leaders must know how to deal with these employees, especially because others will judge the leader based on how he or she handles the situation.
Tip: Tackle the problem as soon as possible instead of waiting to deal with it, rely on documented information when pointing out unacceptable behavior, implement a plan for correcting the behavior, and follow up daily to ensure the positive change is permanent.

10. Maintaining professionalism
Maintaining professionalism can be extremely difficult for leaders who are friendly with many of their employees, but recognizing the line between work life and personal life and striking a balance in between is critical.
Tip: Establish clear boundaries if you work with friends, be fair to all subordinates regardless of friendships, and avoid any special treatment or favors.

11. Managing change
People respond to change in many different ways. In professional settings, employees will often look to their leaders during times of change for reassurance, guidance, and a sense of stability.
Tip: Give employees the opportunity to share their thoughts, focus on the positive, and remain available to answer questions.

12. Handling resistance
Leaders will always face resistance, and the way they handle opposition determines a great deal about how they are perceived.
Tip: Handle resistance gracefully by focusing on the issue and remaining non-confrontational, taking responsibility if you contributed to an issue, and asking for the resistors' help in coming to a resolution.

13. Dealing with complaints
Leaders are constantly receiving complaints from employees. Strong leadership skills mean handling these complaints with tact and fairness.
Tip: Set the example by not complaining yourself, ask complainers questions to turn them into part of the solution, and consider establishing a rule that you can't complain unless you also offer a resolution to the problem.

14. Practicing good manners
People who are polite stand out and are well-liked. Not only do good manners help cement positive relationships with employees, they also set an example for the rest of the office to follow.
Tip: Respect people's time and be early for meetings, don't use the speaker phone except when necessary, don't interrupt, and be sure to say please and thank you.

15. Arguing with class
The way a leader conducts him or herself in an argument says a lot about people skills. The best leaders always keep their cool, remain open to other points of view, and strive for fairness.
Tip: Find middle ground, be polite, keep a calm and steady voice, avoid pushing the other person's buttons during an argument, and focus on moving forward.

16. Delegating
While delegation may seem like a simple task, it actually requires a great deal of finesse and people skills to motivate employees to do the work and get it done effectively.
Tip: Make the goal clear and be specific about the expected results, lay out challenges and discuss obstacles employees may face, and offer available resources.

17. Building morale
One of the most important responsibilities of leaders is building and maintaining morale in the workplace. Employees at every company sometimes get discouraged and stressed, and they need a strong leader who prioritizes their emotional needs.
Tip: Regularly communicate information, changes, and company news so employees don't feel out of the loop, provide growth opportunities, and explain the impact your employees have on the company and its mission.

18. Recognizing good work
The best leaders are adept at expressing recognition beyond a simple pat on the back.
Tip: Recognize people for different types of accomplishments, celebrate good work at meetings where others can congratulate them, and make the praise personal.

19. Nixing bad behaviors
Leaders need to be able to identify and eliminate bad employee behaviors that could have a negative impact on clients, productivity, or office morale.
Tip: Watch out for behaviors like tardiness, interrupting others, invading other people's personal space, inappropriate humor or remarks, and incessant complaining.

Freckle Films

The FRIM – attended Ramly’s wedding. Christy, Gerrard, Linda, Clara, Laura, Lionel, Marcus, Baldwin, Wayne & Amelia was there.

(1) According to Lionel – Alice have gotten worst. A lot of yelling & scolding her buyers these days – Pietro, Brian & Fandi. Lionel also heard that one of them resign…cannot tahan already…but who? Apparently this Alice told her buyers - no talking, no snacking...focus on work.

(2) Marcus said that Alice did not change…only become worst…hahaha…become crazy…even Miguel also don’t know how to manage Alice…OMG.

(3) It seems that Gerrard have resign from the local retailer, going over to TFV.

(4) TFV also got call Marcus for an interview…but according to Marcus…Marcus felt that TFV cannot pay for Marcus’s salary.

(5) Baldwin is a full time parent now.

Ginger Mafia

TGIF, The Curve >> meet up with Tommy & Zurick over lunch. Gossip sharing :)

(1) Tommy is seriously looking for a job now. Got go to a Korean electronics company for an interview, but they cannot afford to pay. Ouch!

(2) Brian – my replacement back in G13…started out as a Management Trainee with The English, then Brian left and join the supplier side. When Brian left The English, Brian did not leave with a good reputation. Brian is gay, just life Fendi. As per Zurick observation & interaction with Brian…Brian is really not that detailed, take things for granted, unreachable and not sure on how to run the Stationery business.

(3) Now moving to Harriet…Zurick commented that Harriet is now more aggressive & ambitious with The Japanese compare to when Harriet was with The English. Harriet is very particular with the job title, Harriet wants to perform & deliver results and most importantly, Harriet wants to be promoted up. With The English, it is harder to get that promotion because the buyers have to get a recommendation from their superiors and have to sit through many exams before they can be promoted.

(4) Tommy is on the same wavelength as Stewart – Harriet is indeed not there yet.

(5) I am quite surprise that Harriet involves me in Harriet’s conversation with Zurick. Harriet feels that Stewart and Jonas will be comfortable with me but Captain Johnson will prefer Harriet.

(6) Tommy also wants Harriet to do well too…Tommy said that if Tommy were Jonas…Tommy will give a free hand to Harriet because if Harriet does well…Jonas will look well too. This is because at the moment, Harriet has to find a balance between what Harriet wants to do versus the resistance from Jonas. Jonas & Leonardo are the same type of people. They are very comfortable in their own zones and do not want to changed the status quo to be more relevant with the market.

(7) Harriet is very well-trained by The English.

(8) Tommy thinks that I more likeable compare to Harriet. But I also pointed out – likeable is one thing, substance must also have.

(9) Tommy thinks that I have the potential to move up; it’s just that because I never have the opportunity to do so and I never try. Actually, I also was once a Division Manager before…I have William & Henry under me.

(10) Tommy asks me whether Celtic & Stewart can help me to move up or not. Hmm…but I did told Tommy on what I think about Celtic. I went back with a different perspective on Celtic this time around. For Tommy…Celtic is just stubborn and not professional.

(11) I enjoy these kind of conversation with Tommy…having somebody…like a mentor on how to manage and move up; be it in a professional or personal capacity…this Celtic…everything is about Celtic…big house lah, big car lah, scolding suppliers lah…OMG…Celtic is showing off...not sharing...

(12) Rupa-rupanya...Tommy is very close with Juan Valentine. No wonder…when Tommy left G13…Tommy ask me whether I am interested or not to join Tommy…Kenneth – which is Juan Valentine's the other half have requested for me…at that point of time…I was wondering…how on earth did Kenneth know me…Tommy just answered me that I am very popular…rupa-rupanya…is because of Juan Valentine.

(13) Juan Valentine is no longer in the Apparel Department…doing the multichannel online platform now.

(14) There are 4 companies that are applying for VSS right now – The English, G13, a local player and the fourth one…people out there is speculating that is is The Japanese. Ohh ohh…

(15) Tommy only give me a good reminder…invest your time on people that can move you up…I don’t know lah…I just want to be honest, sincere & genuine. I want to do my work with passion & enthusiasm. Be hardworking, be humble, be honest. God will provide the rest. There is a season for everything. Now it’s the season for preparation & protection.

21 Days Mission

THANK YOU GOD, PRAISE TO THE LORD, BLESS YOU GOD.

The other day, I started my car engine…then I hear a faint meow, meow sound…so, I thought that there was a cat underneath my car…biasa lah…many cats always take shelter under some of the resident’s car here…so I just ignore it. Then, as I drive along…the meow meow sound is still there…I look around…thinking that it was inside my car…OMG…eh, don’t have wor…then where is the sound coming from…then, I stop my car at the road side…ok, it was from the engine…lagi OMG…Mama Ham ask me to open out the front hood…I lagi tak berani…what happen if the cat jump out on me…I am so chicken shit…hahaha…so, I saw a motorbike rider…I hail him down, he was so nice, so gracious, came down from his bike…open my car front hood…the cat was at the down part right hand side of the engine…he scoop the cat up…it was a street-hungry-dirty kitten. I was so afraid that the kitten will get burned and hangus inside there. Until now...I still have no idea how the kitten got in there in the first place...

Luckily it was not a snake…these days, there are so many snakes that are out in the open to find shade to take cover from the current heat wave. Whew…

BlockBuster Final

It was a very humble club and a more humble team. In the last season, they were battling to avoid relegation, which they did. In this new season – their main objective was to avoid relegation and to capture 40 points. That was it.

But Claudio Ranieri and his players have captured the imaginations of football fans around the world with the most brilliant and unlikely sporting triumphs ever seen. They went on to become the EPL champions. Of course you can go on to say that it is because the bigger & better teams have performed very poorly in this season. You expect to see more gists from Chelsea who flopped so miserably, both of the Manchester clubs, Arsenal and Liverpool.

From a team that spent the majority of last season rooted to the bottom of the table and among the favorites for relegation this term, a combination of team spirit, hard work and talent has seen them transform into champions. It was so humble when the team says that their priority for the next season was Top 10…they were not even thinking of defending their record. So humble! So working class heroes! Really put to shame for the bigger & richer clubs out there.

Ranieri's side, 5,000-1 outsiders who narrowly avoided relegation last season, can now look forward to a title party when they lift the trophy at their King Power Stadium home following Saturday's game with Everton. They are England's first new title-winners since Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest 1978 and their surge to glory in the world's most-watched football championship will go down as one of the most improbable feats in sporting history. A fairy tale to be more precise. Their previous best season in the English top flight was a second-place finish in 1929 and their last piece of silverware had been the 2000 League Cup. To do what they have done has been unbelievable and given hope to the smaller sides. Ranieri & Leicester has been different class.

Congratulations to Leicester because they have been superb this year and their underdogs players of Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, Kasper Schmeichel, N’Golo Kante, Shiniji Okazaki, Wes Morgan & Danny DrinkWater. They really play as a team.

What’s In The Bank?

Most of us will at some time face a crisis. Perhaps it will be a job termination or the results of a medical test, or the loss of a precious family member or friend. It is in those times that we must dig down into the reserves of our spiritual bank account.

And what might we find there? If we have enjoyed a deepening relationship with God, we’ve been making regular deposits of faith. We have experienced His grace. We trust the promise of Scripture that God is just and faithful.

God’s love and grace are available when His children need to make a withdrawal.

Great is Your faithfulness, O Lord God! Each day I see You provide for me and show me mercy. Thank You.

Remembering God’s faithfulness in the past strengthens us for the future.

Ringing Reminders

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. Notice how intimately involved God is in His children’s experience. He delights in every detail of their lives. Verse 31 adds – The law of their God is in their hearts; their feet do not slip.

How extraordinary! The Creator of the universe not only upholds us and helps us but He also cares deeply about every moment we live. No wonder the apostle Peter was able to confidently invite us to cast all your anxiety on him because He cares for you.

Loving Father, thank You that every part of my life matters to you. Encourage me in my struggles so that I might walk in a way that reflects Your great love and honors Your great name.

No one is more secure than the one who is held in God’s hand.

Is He Listening?

Sometimes it feels as if God isn’t listening?

When we pray, we may not see how God is working or understand how He will bring good through it all. So we have to trust Him. We relinquish our rights and let God do what is best. We must leave the unknowable to the all-knowing One. He is listening and working things out His way.

Lord, we don’t need to know the reason our prayer sometimes go unanswered. Help us just to wait for Your time, because You are good.

All His Benefits

The Lord is our Forgiver, Healer, Redeemer, Provider, Satisfier and Renewer.
How could we forget that? And yet we often do when the events of daily life shift our attention to pressing needs, recurring failures and circumstances that seem out of control.

Heavenly Father, we pause to consider all we have in You. Grant us eyes to see Your provision and help us to remember every benefit You have given to us.

GOD – when you have bless me tremendously in the past – I did not ask Why Me. And now when I am going through cash shortages – I am also not going to ask Why Me. You will surely provide for me. Amen!

"7 Years" – Lukas Graham

Once I was seven years old, my mama told me,
"Go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely."
Once I was seven years old

It was a big big world, but we thought we were bigger
Pushing each other to the limits, we were learning quicker
By eleven smoking herb and drinking burning liquor
Never rich so we were out to make that steady figure

Once I was eleven years old, my daddy told me,
"Go get yourself a wife or you'll be lonely."
Once I was eleven years old

I always had that dream, like my daddy before me
So I started writing songs, I started writing stories
Something about that glory just always seemed to bore me
'Cause only those I really love will ever really know me

Once I was twenty years old, my story got told
Before the morning sun, when life was lonely
Once I was twenty years old

(Lukas Graham!)

I only see my goals, I don't believe in failure
'Cause I know the smallest voices, they can make it major
I got my boys with me, at least those in favor
And if we don't meet before I leave, I hope I'll see you later

Once I was twenty years old, my story got told
I was writing about everything I saw before me
Once I was twenty years old

Soon we'll be thirty years old, our songs have been sold
We've traveled around the world and we're still roaming
Soon we'll be thirty years old

I'm still learning about life
My woman brought children for me
So I can sing them all my songs
And I can tell them stories
Most of my boys are with me
Some are still out seeking glory
And some I had to leave behind
My brother, I'm still sorry

Soon I'll be sixty years old, my daddy got sixty-one
Remember life, and then your life becomes a better one
I made a man so happy when I wrote a letter once
I hope my children come and visit once or twice a month

Soon I'll be sixty years old, will I think the world is cold
Or will I have a lot of children who can warm me?
Soon I'll be sixty years old

Soon I'll be sixty years old, will I think the world is cold
Or will I have a lot of children who can warm me?
Soon I'll be sixty years old

Once I was seven years old, my mama told me,
"Go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely."
Once I was seven years old

Once I was seven years old

"One Call Away" – Charlie Puth
Am I too old to listen to Charlie Puth? I am so addicted to One Call Away :)

I'm only one call away
I'll be there to save the day
Superman got nothing on me
I'm only one call away

Call me, baby, if you need a friend
I just wanna give you love
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon
Reaching out to you, so take a chance

No matter where you go
You know you're not alone

I'm only one call away
I'll be there to save the day
Superman got nothing on me
I'm only one call away

Come along with me and don't be scared
I just wanna set you free
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon
You and me can make it anywhere
For now, we can stay here for a while
'Cause you know, I just wanna see you smile

No matter where you go
You know you're not alone

I'm only one call away
I'll be there to save the day
Superman got nothing on me
I'm only one call away

And when you're weak I'll be strong
I'm gonna keep holding on
Now don't you worry, it won't be long
Darling, and when you feel like hope is gone
Just run into my arms

I'm only one call away
I'll be there to save the day
Superman got nothing on me
I'm only one, I'm only one call away
I'll be there to save the day
Superman got nothing on me
I'm only one call away

I'm only one call away
