ideas & inspiration

Happy Australia Day! :)
The skies are BIG and BLUE & the weather is almost always delightful.
Yes, Australians do go windsurfing and boating & have barbeques during the weekend.
Over there, it's all about quality of life and enjoying each day in a very easy & laid-back manner.
Everyone says there's nothing to do there, but that's rubbish - there are music events, fashion happenings, designer markets, live bands, comedy nights, plays, weekend festivals, art exhibitions, shop openings, shopping, food & wine shows, garage sales, sporting events, wildlife parks, beaches, clubs, cafe-style dining, multicultural food, bookstores, nature walks, hikings, etc.
I've been there, done that :)

WaterWorld

Apartment...5th floor...flooded! Mess...thanks to neighbours who forgot to turn off their washine machine :(

On another hand, did realise that time is moving on. New things will be old. Journeys will be travelled. New memories will be created. Life will be lived – no matter what.

Couch Caper

Red & yellow lanterns, peony blossoms, lucky bamboos, pussy willows, CNY cookies, yummy delicacies, prosperity theme-CNY-decos, loud CNY music blasting from the speakers, red packets, hampers! Everyone; in everywhere is getting ready for this Chinese New Year. Can you believe it...it's only 2 weeks away? :)

Mob Rules

I love HOUSE. It's way better...much better than Grey's Anatomy & Private Practice.
No messy sex life, yet House's medical facts alone is sexy enough to hold the show on its own :)
Dr. Gregory House's all time truth: Everybody Lies :)
Other loveable lines:
(1) Why does GOD get all the credit whenever something good happen?!
(2) You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.
(3) Are you comparing me to GOD? I mean, it's great, but so you know, I've never made a tree.
(4) Like I always say, there's no 'I' in team. There's a 'ME' though, if you jumble it up.
(5) Treating illness is why we became doctors. Treating patients is actually what makes most doctors miserable.

New Moon

:) Finally, I have finished reading the book - Twilight by Stephanie Myer.
The story is very well written. Very easy to read. There's something happening & engaging in every chapter. I was captivated the whole way through. It was not emotionally heavy. After all, this whole concept is dedicated to the teens. If you want to cash in on them, you got to put more emphasis on the commercial appeal than artistic demand.
I'm rooting for team Edward Cullen :) Vampires are very aristocrat, sexier, certainly more graceful in their movements; compare to a werewolf.

comet

It's only the 16th day of the year and I'm already drop dead exhausted.
So much of happenings - CZ came back from NZ, we exchanged phone calls...Rufus's 30th birthday dinner...Stewart's birthday lunch...Chriss giving birth to her second baby...2010 Nego...office renovation...CNY in-store promotions...March School Holidays planning...the opening of Axis, KD2, Forrest Heights & Bukit Rimau...roadshows...Jneez & Mike's wedding in Avillion Port Dickson which I'm unable to attend...January Fees Landing...Commercial Margin, Entry Margin & Back Margin analysis...Fitness consignment projects...so many things to do...yet so little time :)

Avenue 5

FIFA World's Best Footballer Award (my pick) - not Lionel Messi; got to be Fernando Torres :)
"Sometimes, there are things in our life that aren't meant to stay. Sometimes, change may not be what we want. Sometimes, change is exactly what we need. And sometimes, saying goodbye is the hardest thing you think you'll ever have to do, but sometimes, saying hello again is the thing that breaks you down and makes you more vulnerable than you ever thought possible. Sometimes, change is too much to bear. But most of the time, change is the only thing saving your life"

The Gift

It's the New Year :) Yesterday, The French allows us to go back early...but we (Trix, Damian, Celtic & Matte-Marit) headed down to Starbucks for some coffee and cakes instead :) And it was nice to hang out together, completely forgetting about our responsibilities, deadlines, invoices & timesheets and just enjoy our new year's eve evening :) It was just so enjoyable & relaxing.

This Year - I will try to do things differently, to make the fireworks, the dreams, the magic, the relationships happens :) plus some good madness thrown in :) I'm doing it for my own good & enjoyment! I want to get fit, healthy, trim, happy, wise and (don't laugh) beautiful. I want to find more time to do all the things that I want to do. I want to forgive, forget and free myself from a lot of the useless agony (mostly coming from Celtic).

I am very appreciative of all the wonderful experiences, the rare opportunities and the fantastic people that I've met this year...even the challenges, the problems, the obstacles as they have given me the opportunities to grow...it's been good to me so far. Thank You for being the best part of 2009 :)

Happy New Year 2010
