Hahaha…I thought Marcus should be keeping this as P&C…why share with me pula…just completed my annual performance appraisal with Marcus…Samuel start first; then should be follow by me…but Mr. Horton’s Secretary took my slot because I was busy chasing the buyers for the promo space and nowhere to be found…hahaha…I guess it’s also a blessing in disguise that I took up the last slot…otherwise, I will not be able to hear from Marcus on what Marcus personally thinks of Samuel, Mr. Horton’s Secretary & myself.

Samuel >> have change for the better…no more stress and no longer tense up…since the last 2 directors of the Upscale business have resign…so no more people giving instructions to Samuel…for me, in other words…Samuel also have nothing much to do on a daily basis; Samuel is very free…therefore, Samuel can thinks clearer and came out with an idea for Marcus that the 3 of us should anchor to a HOD and get more involve in their buying plan…not bad; can be consider…as long as it doesn’t become like a promo court; otherwise it makes no difference to what we are currently doing right now. Marcus hope that Marcus have not neglected Samuel…sigh; 3’s a crowd in Trade Planning...hahaha...

Mr. Horton’s Secretary >> admit that she is very comfortable at where she is right now…she enjoy doing the analysis work…see; very well played strategy isn’t it…she angkat tangan on her preference…and this will make Marcus aware and take note of her preference…and moving forward; if there is any analysis work…will pass to Mr. Horton’s Secretary lor…sigh…I forget to cucuk balik…if she so like the analysis work, then park her under Uncle Andy lah…jiving both of the external & internal data together which Trade Plan can use for future planning & decision making. Or park her far away; under finance business analytics…

Me >> I am surprised that Marcus takes note that I am overloaded…overloaded with routine & administrative work…Marcus have highlighted to Lord Alfonso already…Marcus commented that I have grown up, am ambitious, want to learn more and always come out with new initiatives. I also was very honest with Marcus yesterday…currently I am feeling bored, the job has gotten stagnant, I am not using much of my brain power, I am not learning, I am not moving forward…nonetheless, knowing Marcus, if I threw in the letter right now…Marcus will also not stop me…

Ok, I admit…I am evil…this is so funny…so the other day; Marcus needs to chair the usual every Tuesday S&M meeting…before the meeting; Marcus needs to attend a farewell lunch. Knowing that Marcus will come in late…Marcus ask Mr. Horton’s Secretary to chair the meeting first…I admit I got terasa a bit on why Marcus didn’t ask me first…but knowing Marcus’s style from last time…when Marcus was the head to Pietro, Alice & myself…we usually will rotate and take turns to attend any meeting on behalf of Marcus if Marcus is absent. I can feel that Mr. Horton’s Secretary was super excited lah. I kena bypass mah. She pula in favor mah. Then mana tahu…hahaha…Marcus came back from lunch early, so Marcus chair back the meeting…hahaha…in conclusion...this Mr. Horton’s Secretary is an attention seeker, selfish and manipulative.

Marcus knew that I was doing the CNY Calendar Mapping; both on the overall campaign and the selected festive lines prices…then; Marcus was not in the other day…so Mr. Horton’s Secretary took the peluang to do the summary compilation lor and email out to everyone lor…she is also another attention seeker…

Sigh…I am really not doing Trade Planning work…and I come to accept that Trade Planning only need 1 Marcus and 3 executives…just run the reports…do the Ops Portal communication…do the Daily Store Communication…do the Promo Space Communication…all the compilation, coordination work lor… Marcus protects us, is very defensive of us…and to justify the headcounts of having 3 managers; Marcus voluntarily takes up more workload which is more skew to administration work and not the planning, organizing, decision-making work…sigh…

The only brownie point that I earned that day was when the big boss ask…what is the current issue that the Rakyat is most concern about on that last week Friday…no one answer…I mouthed Petrol Price…the big boss was very observant…saw me…and say don’t be shy…so I say loudly lor…Petrol Price…hahaha…

Because G13 have yet to reduce drastically the price for the CNY festive lines; I make the observation that the current pricing trend…yes, we may be RM0.20 – RM0.50 cheaper…but the customers may opt to shop with The English or The Japanese instead because both of this competition are being supported by the perceived added-value vouchers, coupons and the additional percentage discount.

Then, on the last week Friday Press Ad Review; unfortunately for me that Marcus is not in attendance at that point of time…this Mr. Horton’s Secretary mention this to everyone lor…and everyone nodded in agreement lor…took my credit again! The big boss was there somemore...
