Yesterday, Mr. Horton’s Secretary was on MC…then, this SW drop the 3 of us an email (Marcus, Mr. Horton’s Secretary & Myself); inquiring on what will be the ideal sales forecast uplift for the 50% discount…Marcus replied back: that this information should be coming from the Merchants, and not from Trade Planning…reason being is that the Merchants will know what is their overall sales budget for that week or month…and the 50% discount will be their tool in achieving those budget…thereafter is the item selection that will carry the substantial weight to drive the sales…from there…is how much we want to achieve…then, baru can plan on how much to buy in & sell out…then, today Mr. Horton’s Secretary is back to the office…knowing that we didn’t help SW in answering the question – immediately Mr. Horton’s Secretary inform both Marcus & myself that she will try to do the simulation…very kiasu-like...like I will try to come up with a simulation like that...like don't want me to beat her in doing it first...like don't want me to do it in the first place...ok lor…on Marcus part…Marcus may feel that Marcus also don’t know how to do it but Mr. Horton’s Secretary knows the how; will look bad on Marcus lah as a superior…but on the other hand…Marcus will not mind having such a good analyst around…and I pula…when stand next to Mr. Horton’s Secretary...will look like a failure & useless…sigh…

Today, Marcus gave me the opportunity to go to see Lord Alfonso on the Anni 2 Leaflet updates…instead, I say – let’s go together…hahaha…I begin to find Lord Alfonso to be quite sharp too…I whisper to Marcus (in front of Lord Alfonso) to inform Lord Alfonso that the Leaflet sales tend to be inflated due to the Leaflet sales cannot be separated out from the Press Ad sales…Lord Alfonso then said out loud that I can straightly just inform him…hahaha…another case is when I want to formulate the Item Planned Sales Value in the excel worksheet…in my kan cheong ness…I use the Selling Price instead; Lord Alfonso notice it and corrected me that it should be the Discount Value…and when we have finish explaining to the Operation Director, Lord Alfonso told me that I don’t have to continue the work anymore…cool…Lord Alfonso knows when to put a full stop yo...

Ini betul betul celaka punya…Mr. Horton’s Secretary cut in early than me…what happen was, today is the CNY 2019 Presentation by the Merchants…Lord Alfonso came in for the presentation…everyone was already sitting down…so I offered Lord Alfonso an empty chair…then, Sörenstam came in…no more chair…so I went out to the meeting room to look for a spare chair lor…when I come back…this Mr. Horton’s Secretary who sit at the very front already took a chair for Sörenstam and I believe that chair…someone was sitting on it but left the room already…disturb my buttering chance…cheh…hahaha….

Hahaha…in situation such as this…I pula kesiankan Mr. Horton’s Secretary. The Supply Chain Director came over to our workstation…yes, uses our data and presented it to the Leadership Team…commented that the report was a Gold Mine…so I thought it was referring to Mr. Horton’s Secretary’s data…but rupa-rupanya hor…it was mine database…hahaha…I am very sure that Mr. Horton’s Secretary is hoping and looking forward eagerly to the praises & acknowledgment…the Supply Chain Director haven’t even look at Mr. Horton’s Secretary’s data yet…hahaha…but in the end; when the Supply Chain Director presented the slides – there was a balance perspective from both the Leaflet & Press Ad angle…and the Supply Chain Director email back to us; cc Lord Alfonso…using my email which I did not cc Lord Alfonso in the first place…yes, sometimes I just need to be still…God will fight for me!

So, finally Mr. Horton’s Secretary did the eye-ball checking between featured item in the leaflet vs the item codes that have been uploaded onto the SAP system…it’s a very tedious job but salute her for the completion…I will give her a AAA rating…she send out the email not only to the Supply Chain Director but also to Lord Alfonso…show off...sigh…another meaning is that her masterpiece will get to be highlighted to the Leadership Team of the company…her commentaries, her charts…always her reports get to broadcast out…mine is always hidden, useless, cincai work…never mind I will learn!
