God Is Here

Bidden or not bidden, God is present.

To acknowledge God might mean that when we get a promotion at work, we recognize God gave us insight to finish our work on time and within budget. If our housing application is rejected, acknowledging God helps to sustain us as we trust Him to work in the situation for our good. If we don't make it into the college of our choice, we can acknowledge God is with us and take comfort in His presence even in our disappointment. As we enjoy dinner, to acknowledge God may be to remind ourselves of God's provision of the ingredients and a kitchen to prepare the meal.

When we acknowledge God, we remember His presence in both the successes and sorrows, whether big or small, of our lives.

God is always present and at work.

Wisdom's Source

Wisdome is necessary as we decide what's fair and moral, right and wrong. If we truly value wisdom, we can ask God for a discerning heart, like Solomon did. God may answer our request by helping us balance our needs and desires with the interest of others. He may also help us weight short term benefits against long term.

Our God is not only a perfectly wise judge, but He is also a personal counselor who is willing to give us godly wisdom in great amounts.

Adoi…this Mama Ham of mine…beginning of this year…she have ear wax overload in her ear; which affects her hearing and a bit of headache as there are echo…finally manage to dislodge them at the Assunta Hospital…followed by a very bad sore throat & cough…then healed already…now; its her leg...don’t know whether it’s the nerve problem or early stages of arthritis…nonetheless; THANK YOU GOD, PRAISE TO THE LORD, BLESS YOU GOD…Mama Ham is making very good progress, she still can cooks & do some light chores...I pray that God will continue to love her, favor her & heal her…we have a very exciting trip coming up next month in the Far East, may God continue to protect this family of mine…let’s say, it was one incident after another…I have to do more house chores, more money was spent, more time was invested, more anxiety & stress was going around…but above it all…there were also the abundance of love that went around, much better understanding, having more dependency on God and being prayerful the whole time. Jesus saves! God will take care of everything.

Hmm…Samuel shared with me the other day…Samuel won’t leave G13…because Samuel is afraid that Samuel’s new job will not be able to give Samuel the same or better paying salary…so, does that means that Samuel is very well-paid currently…hahaha…if Samuel is not budging…Mr. Horton’s Secretary is securely planted in…then, I am in no hurry either…after all..G13 is a good retirement place after all…hahaha…I have to agree with Uncle Andy…because Samuel’s concern is the same as mine…what am I going to tell my interviewers…how do I tell them…Lord Alfonso have already mention over-qualified…and we are not adding value, up-skilling or upgrading in any way...so might as well I stay put too…I have mountain of debts as well…hahaha…

What happen was…Marcus have delegated to both Samuel & Mr. Horton’s Secretary to run the Digital Ad Sales Report. Then, Mr. Horton’s Secretary discover some discrepancies…decide to call for a meeting with the Digital Team…Marcus’s email got cc me…but Mr. Horton’s Secretary didn’t invite me for the meeting…maybe seeking revenge kut…hahaha…mana tahu right...

Then, I decide to have nasi lemak breakfast with Samuel…usually I will take my breakfast at home; will not join in for breakfast…but that day, I decided to and the investment was worthwhile…hahaha…all of a sudden Samuel ajak me to attend the meeting…and then Samuel ask Mr. Horton’s Secretary to ajak me in too…of course this Mr. Horton’s Secretary have no choice but to invite me in as well; cannot find reason to reject me mah…hahaha…then, during the meeting I also contribute solutions…Digital Ad submission to follow Press Ad submission; convenient for the merchants and all of the support team…why create so many calendars...hahaha…sure this Mr. Horton’s Secretary will benci me very much…

So, there were representatives from different business divisions to be part of this action group.

Before I send out the invites…this Mr. Horton’s Secretary is really damn canggih…must really salute her…maybe she sense that I won’t invite her to the meeting…hahaha...do you know what she did next? Unbelievable…Mr. Horton’s Secretary offer herself to be my secretary; to help me to jot down the minutes so she can get into the meeting…hahaha…that is how she plan to plant one feet into my meeting…if she offer herself voluntarily in front of Marcus… I would have said…no need lah…pai sei…ask my senior to help me to take down the minutes…I can do it by myself, but if you want to come, can come in and join…wah…this Mr. Horton’s Secretary is really…I don’t know what is the right word to describe her…she don’t want to ketinggalan in everything like that…

But in the end, I told Marcus…Samuel should go in…Samuel knows more about the Upscale business more than I do…Samuel also didn't say anything, but this Mr. Horton's Secretary nampak so desperate & bising betul...hahaha...therefore, in the end, my email invites were officially to Samuel…and for Mr. Horton’s Secretary; I verbally invite her when the meeting was about to start…hahaha…

The other day…Marcus; noticing me that I have a lot of work to do…ask me this question…why not give a portion of my current workload to Samuel since Samuel have no work to do these days…yes, it was an opportunity for me to outsource my this dumbo job…but I didn’t lor…I know that I should have because by then, it would free up my time for me to do more value-added work…this dumbo job is very sap sap sui one…compilation & coordinating only mah…what is so susah about it...it’s not decision-making tasks, it’s not planning, organizing, developing, implementing or executing responsibilities…passing to Samuel…I also pai sei…as Samuel is also more senior than me in terms of age and the number of years working in G13…Mr. Horton’s Secretary already secure her position within the team…doing analysis job lor…all these whose fault? It’s Marcus fault…if I were Marcus…get each Trade Planning Manager to be in charge of 1 Leaflet + Promo Space and 1 month of the Press Ad & Digital Ad. So everyone gets to learn the entire process and can back each other up…sigh…whatever lah…

Hope In The Darkness
