Hobsonville

In the beginning, we praise You because we look forward to everything You promise to do. In the end, we praise You because we look back on all the wonderful things You have done. But the middle  is another story. The middle is characterized by change and uncertainty, and it is filled with doubt, disappointment and failure. The middle is difficult because our strength is failing and we can't yet see the promised land. It is dangerous because we start making bad choices when we begin doubting Your ability to accomplish good things. In trying to write our own happy ending, we miss Your perfect plan. Many of us are in the middle right now, suspended in uncertainty, hoping for the best yet fearing the worst. Keep us from making foolish choices at this dangerous, difficult intersection. May we turn towards faith, not doubt, and believe the good we can't yet see.
