These violent delights have violent ends

NECF 40-DAY FAST & PRAYER

BE AGENTS OF CHANGE

I have a Meal Fast this morning – my Prayer Points were Pastors & Leaders, Unity, Organizational Leaders, Religious Liberty and Missional in the Church.

Prayer Points:
(1) GOD to give the Pastors & Leaders the grace and divine ability to grow and to cope with the rising demands of the Ministry.

(3) The Congregations is to raise their prayer shields for them.

(4) The raising of the next generation of Shepherds to meet the future need for shepherds.

(5) Healing and restoration of fellowship between the spiritual leaders and among the churches.

(6) Greater collaboration between Pastor-elders, Churches and other Denominations.

(7) Vision and passion for the transformation of the Church and the Nation.

(8) Boldness, wisdom and discernment from God to speak on behalf of the Lord and the Church in Malaysia.

(9) Favor before the Rulers and the Government.

(10) All religious restrictions and harassment to end.

(11) Religious bans such as those on the Al-Kitab and the usage of ‘Allah’ to be lifted.

(12) Christians to be given the rights to construct their own church buildings.

(13) Christians to remain strong & prayerful in the midst of harassment.

(14) All religious liberty to be honored and upheld.

(15) Churches to be involved in community & economic development and to promote & preserve all racial & religious harmony.

We are living in interesting times, politically. In the olden days - the 50s, the 60s, the 7os; things were simple but in today's new era, the landscape have changed...and when it comes to politics and religion, all I can say is that, it have become worst. I‘ve always felt we need to transcend our ethnic divisions & special privileges and unite as a nation under a one true 1Malaysia concept. We simply need to get this country moving again in the right direction, instead of constantly squabbling among ourselves. This will takes time but we have to for our future generation sake. We cannot move backwards. We have great talent here. We Malaysians can achieve anything if we put our minds into it – and move forward as one. But it is only being united as Malaysians that we can take our rightful place on the global stage. The world is moving at warp speed. Our nation is blessed with abundant natural resources; we are a country blessed with talented people who are a match for anyone on the planet. Yet instead of building on this foundation we seem to be dismantling it instead. So, stop all the prejudice, all the harassment and all of the restrictions against the minorities. We need each other.

I have and always been proud to be a Malaysian. That’s all I ever thought I am. I don’t know anything else.
