The Amazing Spider-Man >> either you like it or you don’t. Unfortunately, I don’t like it :( I am drop dead disappointed with it. I didn’t feel it was entertaining at all. It was slow. SLOW. SLOW. SLOW ALL THE WAY.
This movie is a reboot of the Spider-Man film franchise, portraying the character's origin story and his development into a superhero while still as a high school student. I still prefer the works of Sam Raimi together with Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco. The first part of this movie was mainly on Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker emotional gravity and wire work stunts anchoring the film before switching to the fantatstic CGI-Spidey or Garfield in the Spidey spandex suit. But I have to say that the supporting cast of Sally Field, Martin Sheen & Denis Leary ground the film really well before the fantasy bit was unleashed. What is perhaps wrong with this movie is the slow tempo, the poor character development of Dr. Curt Connors who played the villain The Lizard and the focus is too heavy on the romance between Peter & Gwen Stacy. I hope that the film makers will do a better one with the sequel.

Hmm.. interesting observation... Personally i kinda like this one better than Sam Raimi's trilogy... It's a bit darker, less comedic and while i love kirsten dunst... i love her period... gwen stacy is a breath of fresh air... mary jane can take a backseat for a while... i love the supporting cast and agree that connor's character deserve better... the lizard wasn't as scary as the goblin in the first Raimi's spidey... but the hidden scene was shoot well enough to make me drooling for a sequel...
