Thank You for assuring us that suffering is never wasted when we place our confidence in who You are, what You've done and what You're capable of doing.

God uses suffering to strengthen our faith.

Had a chit-chat session with Lawrence the other day…apparently, heard that this Jonas have been transferred to the Grocery Division…I assume lah…the story goes like this...Stephenie Wong is here; as a GM…brought her armies (Phaik Har & Jane) over, then the remaining lone ranger; Ana Ling have resign & is attach with TF now…Stewart have no choice, if can…Stewart will also keep Jonas…but if Stewart have to choose…Jonas will be it…Stewart will not let go of Celtic…of course Celtic will threaten to resign…and this Stewart will always have the perception that this Celtic is the only one who is capable in handling all of the HouseHold suppliers…Mak Tiri is very useful; in the sense that Mak Tiri is very good with numbers & the buying income…so, Jonas have to be sacrifice...interesting…

In the S&M meeting, when I presented the Big Bets comparison with the competitors, The Supply Chain Director also said that it was a good reporting, to gage when the competitors have advertised, their frequency, their pricing strategies etc…getting a good word from The Supply Chain Director also carries a lot of weight…hahaha…this Supply Chain Director is actually from Unilever, his reporting is also very canggih one…for him; G13’s data format is not the final format…it’s just raw data to him, then he will take all of these reports and build a new one…so, when he nodded that it was good, then it must be good…hahaha…

See…this Celtic…I am not surprise if 90% of Celtic’s time & effort now is being invested in Celtic’s own private business than office work…probably doing very well financially too…this is not the first time already…when there is action, Celtic will terus hilang…abandon the team & left them to do all of the hard work...Celtic pula goyang kaki...I feel a little bit guilty that I am not with Stewart, Wayne & Zila at this point of time…I am not by their side…but then again, Stewart is the one who approves Celtic’s leave as well…hahaha…it’s their battle now I guess, no longer mine…if Stewart is smart, by now...Stewart (by right) could have figure out on why I left...of course; Marcus's offer is also irresistible as well...Celtic is a bit too much...I hope Stewart's eyes would have already open bigger by now...Celtic is not that great at all, Celtic only know how to control the Plastic Suppliers and Celtic do not add value to the team at all...

The other day, Marcus shared with me that Baldwin has come up to G13 twice for interview…this time is for the SoftWare Department…came up twice, looks & sound promising that Baldwin will be back to G13…after Baldwin left G13…Baldwin have secure employment at Pamica (a furniture supplier) and Segi, but none last long…I have also mention in my previous blog that Maximoff wanted to hire Baldwin back…however, somehow G13’s HR put a barrier to it…likely due to some comments that Baldwin have mention during the exit interview…well, since the HR Director also left, looks like we will welcome Baldwin back pretty soon…

Look at this page…wooden towel roll dispenser is not even a key driver…where is their RM15 & RM20 new development of saucepot and steamer set…where is their RM10 top performers saucepan & saucepot…the good thing is that they have the Buy 3 @ RM10 porcelain bowls; the only thing that looks attractive to me…the pages is so bare; so underutilized…all of the Diamonds aluminum foil, cooking & baking paper and cling wrap can fit into 1 slot in the Baking page…where is the RM5 cutlery holder, where is the RM5 or RM7 or RM10 plastic food container…why is the stainless steel cookware so minimal…the Tefal Classic Wok’s handle also kena chop off from the picture…this is really bad…

Today Marcus share this with me…Sörenstam feels that both Mr. Horton’s Secretary & myself are M…holders of the managers title…yet we are doing administrative work…of course lah…no admin assistant also…I get Sörenstam's point of view…we are in Marketing…we need to speak out…loud, boldly & confident…doing lots of presentations...but then again, if we don't start with the basics and do the homework, how are we going to convince the Merchandising Team to buy into our plans...I also don’t denied, I am probably a disappointment to Sörenstam as well…it’s just that…well, I have been a buyer for 12 years…so, when I come on board, I automatically know what I need to do…but in Trade Planning, this is something new for me…as though Sörenstam got provide any guidelines to us…Sörenstam inputs nothing at all…Sörenstam is also not an expert in the commercial part of marketing…Sörenstam’s strength lies in the look & feel of the creativity aspect…to be honest, very thankful to have Marcus because Marcus manage to anchor the whole thing so far…it’s basically the 3 of us trying to grasp the whole structure around…the leadership team expects us to play a more commercial & leading role in running the business yet the merchants see us as a promotion coordinator only…the alignment is disconnected. But nonetheless, I will learn, I will adapt, I will fit in into the bigger picture of things and I will for sure level up my game…

On last week Tuesday, Marcus was on leave…then, there was the weekly CNY meeting…so, Sörenstam ask Uncle Andy, Mr. Horton’s Secretary & myself to attend…as I was rushing for the Weekly Press Ad results reporting…I inform Mr. Horton’s Secretary that I will not be in attendance…then, I don’t know what got into me…I hand over Mr. Horton’s Secretary a stack of the competitor’s weekly press ad newspapers…I felt that, being a Trade Planner, we need to be in the forefront…being aware of what is going on in the market…so those competitor’s weekly press ad newspapers are important, just that I doesn’t know how to mine those data…and I know…if I were to attend the meeting…and if I were to highlight them in the meeting…as The English already start their CNY Battle Cry…I will be put in a very favorable spotlight…instead, I chose to pass it over to Mr. Horton’s Secretary…team work…hahaha…Trade Planning cannot be so xia sui…hahaha…so, I cannot be so selfish...

Ta ma de…yesterday also kena one more time…from this Business Process Director…saying that my face shows not much of working experience...Mr. Horton’s Secretary told me to take it as a compliment…the Business Process Director said that I have a very baby sweet face…well, this youthful face of mine (Thank You God) have certainly given me a lot of advantages…I can get away with many things, when things go wrong; I am always forgiven & forgotten, people find me to be very likeable and always gives me the opportunities & second chances…however, I also take note that when some situation arises, there are people who don’t take me seriously enough and I can’t command much authority over them…I’m good on a one to one basis but not so in a larger crowd of people…
