Playing With Joy
Play with joy.
Work with joy.
Live with joy.
We all have good reasons to get grouchy; discouraging news, everyday stresses, health problems. Nevertheless, God can give us joy that transcends these conditions if we ask Him. We can have what Jesus called - My Joy.
Joy is a fruit of the Spirit of Jesus. So we must remember each morning to ask Him to help us - may I play with joy. Author Richard Foster said - to pray is to change. This is a great grace. How good of God to provide a path whereby our lives can be taken over by joy.
Practicing What We Preach
Living closely aligned to God by allowing the light of His Word to illuminate our paths keeps us from living blind. The result is a godly vision that gives clarity and focus to our days - our words and actions match up. When others observe this, the impression is not necessarily that of someone who knows everywhere they're going, but of someone who clearly knows who they're following.

God Looms Larger
We're tempted to believe that Goliath (our troubles) directs the story.
God is larger, however.
He dominates the story of our lives.
Sovereign Intervention
The King of Heaven knows all of our needs and sovereignly works out His plans in our lives.
He wisely provides what we need, not necessarily what we want. Let's rest in His sovereign, loving provision.
Loving God, Thank You that I can bring my needs to You. Help me to be content in whatever paths and provisions You choose.
RULE 24: KNOW WHAT YOU WANT LONG TERM
So what’s your game plan for your life? Don’t know? Haven’t ever thought about it? Most people don’t. And that’s why they fail. If you don’t have a plan, it is terribly easy not to stick to it and end up where the current takes you—a bit of flotsam adrift on the eddies of life. Very sad. The Rules Player has a plan—long term and short term.
Long-term plans can be very simple—qualify, move up, reach the top, retire, die. Or they can be sensible and useful. If you intend to have a career, it makes sense to study the game plan of your chosen industry. Obviously, you will have to build in a certain contingency for the unexpected and the “out-of-your control,” but the shrewd Rules Player will have already amended their long-term game plan well in advance having seen the indicators and read the signs. I spoke to someone recently who said, “Who would have predicted downsizing then?” The answer is anyone with the brains to have seen which way their business sector was going.
So, study your chosen industry and see the progression steps needed to make it to the position you want to occupy. Work out what you need to make those steps. Work out how many steps it takes—usually no more than about four—junior, middle, senior, executive. (If you think otherwise, don’t write in.)
Work out what you want from each step—gaining experience, handling responsibility, learning new skills, acquiring people management understanding, that sort of thing. You will notice that “increasing my earnings” just isn’t an option here—that is a foregone conclusion if you are a Rules Player anyway.
Work out how each step is made. This might be a transfer to another department, relocation to another branch, being offered a partnership, being invited to join the board, moving to another company, that sort of thing. Once you know how each step is made, it doesn’t take much to work out what you need to acquire that how.
You have to have an end game—the final goal. This can be as high or as extreme as you like—emperor of the world, prime minister, CEO, wealthiest person in the world, whatever. It is a dream and thus has no limits. If you set limits on your imagination, then you will have to settle for less than the best, less than perfect, less than you deserve. Ah, but you say we have to be realistic. Fine. Do that—be realistic. But Rules Players head for the very utmost of their dreams, and nothing less than the top is good enough.
IF YOU DON’T HAVE A PLAN, IT IS TERRIBLY EASY NOT TO STICK TO IT AND END UP WHERE THE CURRENT TAKES YOU.

Hanuabada
God, last time...I used to pray...to give me a job or a career...things that I would like to do...but now, in this different season...when I look back...yes, it was what I wanted to do (at that point of time)...but I actually do not have the skills nor the character for it...now in this new season...God, I pray that You give me a career, a portfolio, a job - that matches to my strength, weaknesses, skill set, personality, passion & interest...put me in a place where I can grow, where I can be a positive impact, where for Your will to be done...knowing that Grace brought me here, God will take care of everything (as a matter of fact, everything has already been taken care of by God), knowing that God's timing is always perfect, knowing that I will always (on every morning & every day) have God's love, faithfulness, goodness & favorability upon me. And I thank You God in advance for that. Amen!
Unseen Realities
Do you feel overpowered and helpless? Remember that God is in control and fights for you. He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
Fear not for God is with us and for us.
Divine Diversions
Father, I praise You that in Your wisdom You know how to best arrange my life. Thank You for protecting me through Your detours!

Jessica walk over to our place...requesting for the Trade Plan 2020 calendar...this Mr. Horton's Secretary tanya I...boleh bagi tak...I said sure...Mr. Horton's Secretary got email over to the HODs, but no cc me ya...so clever of Mr. Horton's Secretary...want all of the HODs to see Mr. Horton's Secretary only...also pandai pretend - pretend...I get to know, when one of the buyer came over and ask...so, I pun tanya Mr. Horton's Secretary...dia pun jawab, dia email HODs aja...so, moving forward...all of my next moves, all of my ideas, all of my suggestions...have to be kept far far away from her...
Ensisi Valley
This case is before Marcus left G13...
Mr. Horton's Secretary, Marcus & Lord Alfonso...attend 2 meetings together wor...of course lah...just like the Supplier Night Gala Dinner...Mr. Horton's Secretary mana ada cc me anything one...if can, everything keep secret from me...don't want me to mencelah masuk...this Mr. Horton's Secretary is also very pandai to pura-pura and hide things one...
So, afterward it was reveal to be the KD Horeca Project...now, Marcus have left already ya...still there is no email pertaining to this matter got put me in the loop...now, the flyer promotion already ends on 26th...I don't know whether this Mr. Horton's Secretary have run the report or not lah...usually this Mr. Horton's Secretary is very efficient one...if I don't get any reporting...then this Mr. Horton's Secretary, need to be extra careful of her already...sebab dia suka sabo orang, don't want to share, keep everything in private...then, if I need to instruct Mr. Horton's Secretary to do any work...better to do it in front of everyone...ada saksi...hahaha...
Ela Beach
No wonder, the Regional request for the list lah...this Mr. Horton's Secretary...rupa-rupanya, got cc the email regarding the Local Promotion Activities to the group level...nak tunjuk lah tu...want recognition at the higher level...ya mah...now no more Marcus...Mr. Horton's Secretary know that I will not shine the light on her...so Mr. Horton's Secretary kena bertindak and take care of herself first...Mr. Horton's Secretary is also very clever to play the game...but I THANK YOU GOD, PRAISE TO THE LORD, BLESS YOU GOD - I manage to retrieve the list out...hahaha...
Boroko
Actually, when Lord Alfonso propose that I take over Marcus's entire portfolio, I tweak it a little bit.
Sigh...I am not as experienced nor as fast as Marcus...my plate will be very full and I will be emotionally overwhelmed...therefore, I propose to Lord Alfonso that Erin & Heidi reports to Samuel, instead of me...so, I don't have to make every decisions mah...
Additionally, another selfish reason of mine is that Mr. Horton's Secretary, Samuel & I are lunch buddies...sigh...siapa sangka, the scenario will become like this...and knowing that the both of them will red eye me...it is better that I am being seen as not in monopolize everything but giving Mr. Horton's Secretary & Samuel a portfolio where they can feel a sense of ownership...
Then, Lord Alfonso ask me back this question - is Samuel capable...rupa-rupanya, according to Marcus...Samuel is always very negative...always list down all of the obstacles first...so, Lord Alfonso also feels it...
Bomana
It is only a baby sitting role...nonetheless, I still need to get the engine up & running...
I thought that I can get a divorce from Mr. Horton's Secretary...so rupa-rupanya tak jadi.
For sure, both Mr. Horton's Secretary & Samuel will beh song me...because the both of them will not recognize nor acknowledge me as their leader. I not only have to manage them, plus Heidi, Erin & Anis as well.
Mr. Horton's Secretary likes to secretly sabo and do selective work but Mr. Horton's Secretary is also a genius in running the numbers...Samuel pula also don't want to do additional work but like to interfere...Erin have no sense of urgency...Heidi likes to tai chi work to other people...Anis will do but suffer in silence...what a motley crew...

Present In The Storm
Why do bad things happen to good people? And it doesn't surprise us that this old question doesn't have new answers.
It's tempting to rationalize that the presence of trouble means the absence of God. But the truth of Scripture counters such notions. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. He is present when our circumstances are unbearable and we find comfort in His character; He is good, loving and trustworthy.
Conciliation Resources
During the Supplier Night Gala Dinner, Mr. Horton's Secretary and I was talking...then appear Nixon and ask where is Samuel...thus arise the most complicated question ever...why Samuel didn't turn up...the both of us just reply back no...and Nixon ask us how come we abandon Samuel...lucky, Nixon scooted off...then only this Mr. Horton's Secretary ask me whether I got ask Samuel or not...I said I left it to Marcus...then Mr. Horton's Secretary reveal to me that Mr. Horton's Secretary did not ask and did not propose either...best friend kononya...and the reason was that Mr. Horton's Secretary was busy...duh...I think it was intended...Mr. Horton's Secretary just sabo Samuel...but at the end of the day, I am painted as the villain...lantak lah...
Women Mediators
What the...Samuel, Anis & Erin did not get to go for the Supplier Night Gala Dinner...and Marcus openly apologize to them...wah...then the food tasting...the another retailers dinner...no apology went around for Samuel, Mr. Horton's Secretary or myself...we weren't even asked...I think we have been taken for granted...hahaha...

The Supplier Night Gala Dinner, Mr. Horton's Secretary pun tak email I...why must need to involve Mr. Horton's Secretary in this pula...if Mr. Horton's Secretary consider me as a team member, Mr. Horton's Secretary will email me...Mr. Horton's Secretary langsung tak buat tau...all of Miguel & SW's email regarding the Supplier Night Gala Dinner which kept me in the loop...I am also very sure that this Mr. Horton's Secretary went and met them personally to settle the issue or reply back to them without cc me because I don't even receive one single email pertaining to the matter from Mr. Horton's Secretary at all...yes, I kecil hati betul...sigh...

Wah, this Mr. Horton's Secretary sememangnya celaka betul...Mr. Horton's Secretary also have the intention to sabo Samuel as well...the both of them are so close...Marcus told me...don't know whether Samuel wants to attend the Supplier Night Gala Dinner or not...Marcus did ask Mr. Horton's Secretary...Mr. Horton's Secretary pula jawab to Marcus - that Samuel maybe not so keen to attend...I told Marcus, go and WatsApp Samuel...whether Samuel wants to go or not...it's a different story altogether, at least, have some decency & courtesy to ask...because I know it is not nice...Mr. Horton's Secretary should go because Mr. Horton's Secretary can be consider to be part of the committee already...and Miguel went and plot in my name into the list, excluding Samuel...that means that Samuel cannot be seen by the Merchants. So Samuel is already ter-left out here, so now cannot make the situation more worst right...so, see whether this Marcus got WatsApp Samuel or not...this Mr. Horton's Secretary sememangnya dashyat betul...

Clear Communication
At times, I feel like I'm unable to communicate and express my heart when I pray to my heavenly Father. Many of us struggle sometimes with prayer. But the Apostle Paul wrote - The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God.
How amazing is the gift of the Holy Spirit. He clearly communicates my thoughts and desires in harmony with the Father's purposes. The work of the Spirit makes prayer work!
Father, I thank You for the gift of Your Spirit and the privilege of prayer. Help me to lean on Your spirit in moments when I don't know how to pray.
Be Strong In The Lord
We were never meant to fight alone.
Paul makes it very clear where our source of power and strength comes from.
In Ephesians 6:10, he commands us to be string in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
It is God himself who holds the power to fight and win our battles!

RULE 23: WRITE WELL
We write for two purposes. We write for others to read, and we write for ourselves to read. How you write for yourself is immaterial. You can scribble illegible shorthand or write like a five-year-old. It doesn’t matter, just so long as no one else sees it. But how you write for others to read is of utmost and crucial importance. You will be judged on:
• What you write
• How your writing looks
Ah, but you say you don’t write anything; you type everything. Fine. So what typeface do you choose, and why? What point size, and why? And you must have to sign documents—that’s writing. Your signature is as open to judgment as anything else. I was once told that my signature was that of a very wealthy person. Good, although completely wrong, but it did indicate that I was getting close to the image I wanted to portray. A final point on this: always make your signature big—big signature, big person.
If you use handwriting a lot, then it needs to be
• Legible—It must be able to be read by everyone—or there simply is no point doing it and it is discourteous not to make the effort.
• Neat—No crossings out, all lines equal, that sort of thing.
• Stylish—A bit of a flourish here and there.
• Mature—Rounded letters and joined up.
• Consistent—The writing at the bottom of the page should look like the writing at the top of the page.
Watch your margins and the slope of your writing. You may not know it but margins—or signatures or any form of writing—that slope down towards the right of the page indicate a depressed person. Optimists slant upwards.
Make sure your spelling is correct and your grammar adequate—if not, study on it.
If you type a lot, use Times New Roman or Arial, 12 point, and only use italics or bold or underlining sparingly. Never mix typefaces—it betrays you as an unstable, immature personality, apparently—or point size. And you just thought it looked fun.
HOW YOU WRITE FOR OTHERS TO READ IS OF UTMOST AND CRUCIAL IMPORTANCE.

Duchy of Lancaster income
Today I went head-on with Mr. Horton's Secretary.
I don't care. Let's collide. Time to show power already.
I want to show Mr. Horton's Secretary that I am fast & furious.
Don't be so kepo, don't jaga tepi kain orang.
Don't rampas kerja. Don't pura-pura. Jangan ambil benda / kerja which are not yours.
Buat kerja you sendiri. Which I tak pernah kacau & interfere.
Kena ajar this Mr. Horton's Secretary mah.
Even though Mr. Horton's Secretary said that Mr. Horton's Secretary wants to check...by right Mr. Horton's Secretary should remind me to check with MasterFile; bukan dia check sendiri. Because that is what I will do if anyone ask me on anything that is related to Mr. Horton's Secretary. I don't interfere, so Mr. Horton's Secretary should do Mr. Horton's Secretary own work.
Marcus; via WatsApp ask why this particular catalogue; the prices are not updated.
As usual lah...Marcus never name names lah...
I see Mr. Horton's Secretary like want to cepat-cepat find the answer; checking with the MasterFile Director, then I also...sigh...don't want to lose out and cannot lose out, also immediately check with Lawrence. So, the both of us quickly fired up the messages.
Marcus: Can help to check? Thanks
Me: Buyer have amendment and terminate the price already
Mr. Horton's Secretary: Manual push to store, 2.30pm
Me: Manual push to store 2.30pm. Buyer did not reupload
I know ar...I am very bad today...I am also upset...that I don't have the bigger heart...hahaha...
Chatham House Prize
Hahaha...this afternoon SW ask me what am I going to wear for the Supplier Night Gala Dinner...I replied back that I am not going...guess what...SW said that SW saw my name in the list! I said that Marcus & Mr. Horton's Secretary did not mention anything to me...SW pula wondering why the both of them didn't inform me. But to me, the best part is this...so, it's confirm that Mr. Horton's Secretary memang want to sabo me one. If SW can see my name, confirm Mr. Horton's Secretary also can see my name...tak mungkin this Mr. Horton's Secretary terlepas pandang...not Mr. Horton's Secretary's style. See, this Mr. Horton's Secretary is so cunning...honestly, I really want to go...but now, I am looking forward to God's plan.

But Samuel have other intentions pula wor...Samuel mengapi-apikan keadaan...Samuel ask why Marcus didn't ajak I...because I do all of the promotion coordination work mah...do so much, follow-up so much...hahaha...I only replied back that Mr. Horton's Secretary is TP's wakil and Eric & Anis are representing their own portfolio...I know that Samuel is not convince...hahaha...I will not say Samuel is not convince...Samuel would like to hear another different answer...hahaha...God, help me to fight this temptation.
Fishlake and Stainforth
So, Mr. Horton's Secretary went for the Supplier Night Gala Dinner lunch food tasting...then still got extra space mah...Marcus terus ajak Eric & Anis...didn't invite Samuel or myself...I take it that Mr. Horton's Secretary wakil Trade Planning lah and Eric & Anis are representing each of their own department...and I have to back-up Marcus in case Marcus cannot come back in time for the 2pm S&M meeting...so, rupa-rupanya...ada orang juga step up, kaki bodek, ambil perhatian...hahaha...
Abby's Prayer
Let's pray for others - even people we don't know. It's one of the ways we can carry each other's burdens.
Sharing Slices
A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
We're likely to experience generosity as well. But we shouldn't give with expecting something in return; rarely does our generosity return to us as quickly and obviously. We give to help others in loving response to God's instruction to do so. And when we do, God is pleased. While He's under no obligation to refill our wallets or bellies, He often finds a way to refresh us - sometimes materially, other times spiritually.
We can be generous with what God's given us.

Oopsie...hahaha...for our upcoming annual dinner...Mr. Horton's Secretary volunteer to compile our names for RSVP purposes...usually, Mr. Horton's Secretary won't volunteer for this kind of thing one...I suspect lah...Mr. Horton's Secretary want to use the - on behalf of Marcus - because, Mr. Horton's Secretary wants to be see mah...then, I think Mr. Horton's Secretary was busy lah...didn't do...then today hor...I mention about the dinner to Samuel...Samuel terus so bersemangat to volunteer to compile...hahaha...snatch Mr. Horton's Secretary's job pula...now all want to level up, want to be kaki bodek, want to rampas kerja to do...adoi...

Blooming In The Desert
With our eternal future secured by God's promises, we can trust Him through life's seasons of drought and drenching storms. Deeply rooted in His love, we can grow, blooming into His likeness until, at just the right time, Jesus returns and sets all things right.
Loving Father, thank You for assuring us You're with us and working to grow us through every stormy moment in our lives.
Can We Relax?
Okay, you can relax.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
We can relax in God's goodness and faithfulness instead of worrying.
Teach me, Jesus to trust Your Faithfulness, to know Your presence, to experience Your peace - to relax.
RULE 22: SPEAK WELL
So what does speaking well mean? Am I suggesting you walk around with a snooty voice and say “hice” instead of “house” and “creche” instead of “crash”? Of course not. You can keep your regional accent; that’s not the problem. Look at why we speak—it is to communicate, to convey information—rather than how we speak. Speaking well means getting information across clearly and effectively. It doesn’t matter how you speak, but it does matter that you speak clearly. And speaking clearly means just that—clearly. The things you must avoid are:
• Mumbling—For obvious reasons, people can’t hear or understand you.
• Speaking too softly or quietly—Again, people can’t hear you.
• Using jargon—It’s unintelligible to others outside your department or field of expertise.
• Any sort of speaking that identifies you with a particular group or social class—i.e. youth (trying to use the latest trendy slang or catchphrase), or politically extreme (radical anything, politically correct gone mad, ecologist, vegetarian, or environmentally obsessive), or too obviously belonging to any class system (too poor, too rich, too regional).
• Speaking badly—using “less” when you really mean “fewer”—that sort of thing. If you don’t know the difference, get a grammar book and learn it by heart. Don’t use verbal mannerisms such as “you know” or “like.” Always finish your sentences.
There are four key words to remember to get you speaking well:
• Bright
• Clear
• Pleasant
• Simple
That’s all you need to know. If you use these four, you won’t go wrong, and people will remember what you say and be impressed by your clear, bright speaking voice. Speaking well makes an impact. If you slouch in and mumble your name, people will assume you are underconfident, ill at ease, and barely human—and thus quickly forget you. If you walk in confidently, say your name clearly and with confidence, people will assume you know where you are going, who you are, and what you want—and thus remember you. Speak simply—say directly what it is you want to say and nothing more.
SPEAKING WELL MEANS GETTING INFORMATION ACROSS CLEARLY AND EFFECTIVELY.
