sarang K-POP
Last month when I was down in Singapore, on our last night together, we had a great dinner at Clarke Quay. It was a place full of international menus and we had our meal in a Korean Restaurant. The Korean cuisine was good, the laughter we’ve shared was memorable as I was making new friends with Niki (Jennifer Agnes met up with another friend in another restaurant) and building fresh relationships…but what was outstanding during that night was right after 10pm, it was happy hour time. Our plates were cleared off quickly, we were told that if we wanted to stay on, we have to order beers (which Victoria & Niki did) and we were entertained by the restaurant’s imported Korean girl group. I can't remember the group's name. It was something like Candy Girls or Color Girls. Something along that line. So yeah, the restaurant turn into a Korean Bar, the Korean girl group churn out Korean K-Pop songs, dancing on a very small stage, wearing very tight-fitting dresses like they were ready to be ‘openly checked out’. Some are obviously strutting around with body language that shouts – LOOK AT ME, I AM SO HOT! Nonetheless, it was tasteful sexiness. We then notice that there were more male customers than female :) And the girls even sing & dance to the popular 'Gangnam Style' song made popular by Psy in their high heels; which I was very impressed (i never like that song in the first place, even though I have to admit that the social media has propel this song to unimaginable heights, crossing boundaries & colors). Well, the Korean entertainments certainly make you enjoy the simple pleasures of a noisy wine bar. I think the floorboards were vibrating from the noise levels. It was rocking! I have to say that these days, the Koreans are way better dancer & dance choreographer than the Americans.
